The Shinshu Suzaka area still retains the vestiges of the Edo period. Garyu Park, where the lakeside is covered with cherry trees in spring, is the most famous spot. This place has been selected as one of the Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan. Endo Shuzujou's brewery is just a few minutes away from there.
Established in 1864, the brewery originally served the Suzaka clan and later supplied sake to the local feudal lord. The founder, Tokusaburo Endo, was driven by a deep commitment to crafting delicious sake, a tradition that has been passed down through generations. Today, Endo Shuzujou continues to embrace new challenges with the same enterprising spirit. The brewery benefits from Shuzaka's beautiful natural surroundings, fresh air, and most importantly, pure water.
